ECO in the Community

We value environmental and social responsibility

As a champion for environmental workforce growth in Canada, we recognize and value the importance of minimizing our environmental impact and giving back to our local community.

Improving Our Corporate Sustainability

We spend much of our daily time in our working environment. We want our environment to be as eco-friendly as possible.

To that end we have a number of in-house programs to help reduce waste and drives efficiency.

  • Switched from paper cups to washable coffee mugs and glasses
  • Paper reduction policy to minimize paper and ink cartridge waste
  • Environmentally friendly kitchen supplies
  • Energy Star products and appliances
  • Annual commuter challenge
  • Lights off, computers off at the end of the day!
  • BOMA BEST Certified office building

Employee Giving and Volunteering

Contributing to the place we live and work is important to us. We do this by volunteering, supporting other non-profits and donations.

Everyone who works here is given 8 hours of paid volunteer time per year to the charitable organization of their choice.

In addition, we support Samaritan’s Purse, Inn from the Cold and The Mustard Seed with group volunteering and donations. Activities we’ve done in the past:

  • Spring clean up
  • Christmas shoe boxes for children worldwide
  • Food bank donations
  • Warm clothing donations
  • Serving hot meals
  • More to come!

Coming Soon

We will be launching our Skill Building Program for non-profits and eligible individuals who could use some help developing their soft skills to help with getting a job. This program will provide complimentary access to online skill-building courses such as Project Management, Technical Writing, Professional Communication, and Job Seeking Best Practices. More information in January 2018.
