With pressure to meet strict regulations and standards, companies are having an ever increasing need for GHG practitioners; 80 per cent of employers surveyed by the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (GHGMI) state they would be more inclined to hire certified professionals than non-certified GHG practitioners.

For this reason Greenhouse Gas Reporting professionals have come together to create the Environmental Professional in Greenhouse Gas Reporting – EP(GHG) designation. This title is available to professionals who have been working for 5 or more years in the areas of GHG quantification or verification.
 

The Environmental Professional in Training- Greenhouse Gas Reporting designation, EPt(GHG) is available to professionals with less than five years of experience who:

• Have completed post-secondary education and specific GHG training
• Are working, or would like to work in the field of GHG reporting

Both the EP(GHG) and EPt(GHG) titles will be available to professionals globally. The certification is aligned with the international standards in this field (ISO 14064 parts 1, 2, and 3, ISO 14065, ISO 14066) and is accredited to ISO 17024 – the international standard for personnel certification bodies.
