Certification Renewal

Maintaining Your EP Certification

All certified members are required submit their membership fees and Professional Development activities to ECO Canada on an annual basis.

Membership Fees

  • All members are required to pay the renewal fee by April 1 each year
    • EP fee: $200
    • EPt fee: $100
    • Upgrade fee: $150*
  • Payment can be made via member account login either on the ECO or CECAB login page
  • Reminder emails will be sent to members starting in February and March
  • Late payment of annual membership fees will incur a fee of $100 for EPs and $50 for EPts


*If you qualify to upgrade from an EPt to an EP certification, the application fee is $150, non refundable

Outstanding Fees Policy

If payment is not received within 30 days of its due date, a late penalty of $100.00 for EP members / $50.00 for EPt members will apply and the member will be temporarily removed from the Roster until payment is received. This status will be lifted and the member’s name will be placed back on the Roster once payment is received.


If it has been more than 90 days since ECO Canada has received any communication from a member, and said member still has outstanding fees, their account will be permanently removed and they will have to re-apply as a new applicant.

Professional Development

Professional Development is an important part of maintaining your certification. By participating in activities such as industry events, volunteer activities, thought leadership, continuing education, etc. you are committing to keeping the membership expertise and competencies at the highest level. The number of PD credits required annually for each membership level are:


  • EP: 15 credits
  • EPt: 5 credits
  • EP Auditors: 15 credits, plus required auditor logs
