New environmental award presented to honor commitment in improving human resources
April 10, 2009 - ECO Canada is proud to honor Intelex Technologies Incorporated as the first recipient of their Human Resources Commitment Award. Each year this award will recognize an environmental organization demonstrating continuous effort towards improving the satisfaction of their employees.
In this year’s survey administered by ECO Canada, Intelex showed industry-leading performance in various categories while also earning satisfaction increases for three years in a row in the following categories:
• Clarity of direction
• Excellence in work/life balance for employees
• Clear communication of goals, values, and objectives
• Establishment of an open, trusting, fun and productive work environment
• Effective communication systems
Mark Jaine, President and CEO of Intelex, says the process of creating their employee handbook prompted a company-wide discussion on HR issues and became a major initiative for the organization in 2008.
“Publishing the handbook through our web-application gave employees the opportunity to discuss the policy revisions and improvements with their coworkers through the Intelex Message Centre. This was a win/win situation for employees and management because archived discussion posts and employee feedback provided the management team with key insights into employee morale.”
