ECO Canada's Wage-subsidy internships are now available
June 16, 2010 – ECO Canada is now accepting applications for Environmental Youth Corps (EYC) program. For employers, the EYC can provide a wage-subsidy accounting for up to one third of an eligible intern’s salary.
Funding will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to the private sector however Not-for-profit and other organizations may also apply. To be eligible, your organization must meet the following criteria:
• Be Canadian owned or a Canadian subsidiary
• Offer a full-time position for 6-12 months
• Offer a new position that has a significant environmental component
• Hire a new employee (cannot be an existing employee)
• Have not accessed another federally funded wage subsidy for the position
• If applying for the International EYC, your application form must indicate the international components of the position.
