Is Your Total Compensation Competitive in the Environment Industry?
Regularly $500 per year, Environmental Professionals (EP’s) in good standing now have access to ECO Canada’s yearly Compensation Tool with a submission of their occupational and benefit information.
The only report in Canada with an environmental focus, the Compensation Tool captures occupational data for over 60+ environmental professions, with the added ability to suggest an occupation if it is not listed. It includes two main compensation survey criterions:
-
Salary and Bonus survey
-
Benefits (Retirement, Vacation and other administration practices)
As part of the EP Member Discounts, the Compensation tool can help EP’s gage how they are compensated in comparison to others in the sector, or can be used as leverage when negotiating compensation for a new job contract or raise. Also, since the report available to EP’s includes only employer submitted information, it’s a more credible source of information than other tools online that may be skewed by professionals.
Submitting Occupational and Benefit Information:
The Centre is now collecting compensation data.
To access the survey, login to your EP member account (only members in good standing will be able to access the report), and click on the Compensation Tool tab.
You will then be prompted to fill in two surveys (salary and bonus, benefits). Each takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. You are not required to complete each survey at one sitting; the survey will remember where you left off.
Once completed, you will have continual access to the report.
