About the Compensation Centre
Welcome to the first environmentally focused compensation tool to serve the Human Resource needs of Canadian organizations that employ staff within the diverse environmental sector.
ECO Canada’s Compensation Centre is set up to capture occupational data for over 60+ environmental professions, with the added ability to suggest an occupation if it is not listed. It includes two main compensation survey criterions to meet the needs of environmental employers:
1. Salary and Bonus survey
2. Benefits (Retirement, Vacation and other administration practices)
ECO Canada strives to provide a resource for quality, relevant and accurate human resources information for both employers and employees in the environmental sector. To achieve this standard for this compensation survey product, ECO has partnered with compensation and research experts to build a survey tool that is robust, yet simple enough to be self-serviced by compensation administrators, who are commonly tasked with updating employee information, such as incorrect base salary, job title and bonus target, during very tight compensation planning cycles.
The Centre benefits small and medium-sized employers requiring access to compensation information relevant to their sector. Large firms in the environmental sector, who are currently served by established compensation surveys, will also benefit from the niche reporting mechanisms that capture data from high populated environmental occupations to very specific occupational coverage.
Data will be compiled each fall with results published annually in November. This continual approach to compensation data is yet another competitive advantage over other surveys in market, of always being current and up to date.
Important Instructions
Employers must designate a trusted employee to input data for the completion of all survey fields as well as be listed as the Primary account holder.
The Centre will collect compensation data from March to November 2011 at which time the Compensation Centre Reporting is available with the purchase of an annual subscription. Continuously collecting data throughout the year, the Centre offers subscribers continuously updated compensation data with the ability to run numerous individual queries on specific occupations or quickly download larger-scale reports on the most commonly requested salary and benefits analysis.
The length of time to submit survey data is dependent on the number of occupations inputted. Tabs 1 & 2 will only take approximately 20 minutes each. The respondent is not required to complete each survey at one sitting, the survey will remember where you left off.
You will be promted to log-in to the ECO Canada website to access the Compensation Centre. Please contact hrservices@eco.ca with any questions or concerns.
