Lights-Camera-ECO Action!
Your school could be one of four to win $2,000 towards implementing an eco-friendly project—all you have to do is get creative and get involved!
ECO Canada challenges you and your peers to create a short video about an environmental issue in your community and the environmental careers associated with that issue.
Pick an issue that you and your team are passionate about and have fun!
How to Enter
Eligibility
Video contestants must:

Be from a Canadian high school (grades 9-12)
-
Work in a collaborative team from the same high school
-
Have a team sponsor who is a full-time staff member at the school and who will provide consent from school administration to participate in the video contest

Ensure that only one video per school is entered into the contest
Video Guidelines
Your school video must:
-
Be between three and five minutes long, videos longer than five minutes will be disqualified
-
Be submitted in .AVI or .MPG format
-
Contain only original material. Your video may not contain any copyrighted material which you have not obtained the right to use, including photos, artwork, music, video clips, voices, etc.

Your team sponsor/ teacher must sign the entry form and submit it to ECO Canada
Video Judging Criteria
Videos will be judged on:
1. The environmental issue and the environmental careers profiled

Articulation of the local environmental issue
-
Coverage of environmental careers
-
Documenting the effects of the issue on your community
2. Quality
-
Creativity
-
Clarity of ideas and vision
-
Film technique used
3. Plan for the prize money

Scope of outreach within your school

Environmental benefits for your high school
