Recognition
ECO Canada and the SEEDS Foundation will jointly recognize GREEN High Schools:

On the ECO Canada website

On the SEEDS Foundation website

In the ECO Explorer e-bulletin distributed to over 1,600 students and educators
-
In the Seedling Review distributed to 14,000 schools across Canada

Three schools that go above and beyond the minimum requirements will:

Be awarded a cash prize of $1,000 each
-
Have their school profiled on the ECO Canada website
-
Be featured in national and local media press releases
-
Receive student certificates of recognition
These schools will be selected by a panel of judges and will have a project that demonstrates:

A greater understanding of environmental careers by participating students
-
The impact on the greater community
-
Involvement from multiple stakeholders
-
Plans for sustaining the project
-
How project successes and lessons learned will be shared with others
