Robert Cole, M.B.A, PBAS, IAF-CPF, Director, Communities, ÉEM Sustainable Management

Robert has worked for over 10 years as a management and sustainability consultant. At EEM, Robert is the head of the Communities group where his work focuses principally on:

  • Social impact assessment
  • Land-use and population resettlement
  • Group facilitation
  • Community and aboriginal engagement
  • Community investment planning
  • Business/community partnerships

Robert has extensive experience working in the extractive, energy, engineering, manufacturing and education sectors, as well as with aboriginal and non-aboriginal communities impacted by development.

An economist by training and accredited facilitator and partnership broker, Robert’s focus is on building mutual understanding between businesses and their community stakeholders of the social and environmental impacts of development and on developing effective long-term collaboration to promote sustainable development.

Prior to joining EEM, Robert was a management consultant in the field of business strategy and performance, and worked for three years in marketing communications. Robert holds an MBA specialized in Organizational Change Management, is an accredited Partnership Broker under the Partnership Brokers Accreditation Scheme (PBAS) and a Certified Professional Facilitator through the International Association of Facilitators. He speaks English, French and Spanish. Robert has over eight years of experience as a management and sustainability consultant.
