Job Description

We are searching for junior or intermediate scientists to join our team of experienced environmental professionals in Grande Prairie, one of the hottest oil and gas areas in Canada starting in May, 2017. The person selected for the position will assist in the implementation of baseline aquatic and terrestrial studies, wildlife and fisheries inventory, water quality monitoring, environmental impact assessments and environmental monitoring. Responsibilities will involve several aspects of project execution, including assisting with study design, field work, data management and analysis, quality control, and technical reporting. This role will have a balance between field work and office related duties, travel is required.

Successful candidates will have a strong aptitude to working in a team environment and coordinating with other disciplines. Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills are required. The candidates will have the following combination of education and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a related discipline and 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• A working knowledge of regulatory processes in Alberta
• Working understanding of Oil and Gas industry
• Eligible for professional accreditation such as P. Ag., P. Biol, R.P. Bio.
• Class 5 Drivers Licence
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
