The preferred candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
-A degree in a field relevant to a biophysical or socio-economic component in environmental assessment;
-A minimum of ten years experience in environmental assessment in one or more industrial sectors, preferably in mining, upstream oil and gas, power, and/or infrastructure;
-The ability to thrive in an atmosphere that requires cooperation and teamwork to provide quality, solution-oriented consulting services;
-Experience in developing, directing, and executing field programs;
-Experience and awareness of environmental issues and effects related to human development and natural factors;
-Strong written and oral communication skills;
-Experience completing and managing large environmental assessments.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
-Provide senior leadership and expertise in environmental impact assessments including environmental systems management, government acts and regulations, Aboriginal, regulatory, and public engagement processes, and strategic planning;
-Participate, manage, and coordinate different types of projects that range in size within a multidisciplinary environment;
-Provide leadership in all aspects of project work and business development.
