Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. is an employee-owned environmental consulting firm with over 20 years of experience providing professional services to a range of clients. The company’s six offices in Terrace, Prince George, Richmond, Kamloops, Fort St. John, and Calgary are located near and within gateway communities throughout BC and Alberta.
Triton provides a wide range of environmental expertise and has completed numerous projects throughout western Canada for municipal, provincial, and federal agencies and for industrial clients in the hydro-power, oil and gas, forestry, mining, and transportation sectors.
Triton provides environmental solutions to meet clients’ needs and has a long history of providing services through Coastal, Interior, Rocky Mountain, and Alberta drainages.
Job Description:
Triton has opportunities for junior to intermediate level biologists to support a wide range of project work requiring field inventory and impact assessment. The ideal candidate will have strong field skills and be able to work independently, part of a team or lead field crews in completing field assessments as well as provide office support in analysing data, writing reports, and client interaction. Triton provides both in-house and external training opportunities. The successful candidate will find opportunities to be involved in project work through other offices as well as opportunities for advancement, commensurate with demonstrated capability and performance.
Qualifications:
-One to five years of work experience in aquatic or terrestrial projects.
-Working knowledge of provincial and federal environmental assessment and regulatory processes.
-Knowledge of regional resources (fish, vegetation, wildlife), inventory standards and relevant regulations.
-Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively within teams.
-Meet project budgets and timelines.
-Perform environmental monitoring in accordance with the environmental monitoring protocol specified by the Project manager.
-Strong writing and communications skills.
-Technical Diploma, B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant field (P.Bio and/or R.P.Bio. an asset)
- Safety certifications an asset
