New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Community College Instructor - Environmental Technology. Reporting to the Department Head, and as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses related to this position include, but are not limited to: geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, ecotoxicology, environmental management systems, remediation, water quality, soils, and sampling methodology.

Qualifications required for this opportunity include a bachelor of science with a major in geology or an environmental technology diploma with a minimum of five years of experience in soil remediation, water quality, river restoration, environmental management systems and air quality.

A strong background in geology, hydrogeology and environmental technologies is also required. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how these qualifications are met on their resume.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $1,626 to $2,817 bi-weekly. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees - Education Instructional collective agreement for the College.
