About the Workshop
Air quality assessment is a requirement of any permit or environmental protection plan and may include both impact modelling and monitoring.
This workshop will provide professionals with a practical approach to planning and executing an air quality impact assessment as a follow up action to a facility or project emission inventory.
Case studies and participant exercises will be used to reinforce various aspects for planning and implementation of the assessment, interpretation of model results and planning any follow-up monitoring as may be required.

About the Trainer
Steve Lamming, Ph.D., EP – Principal Air Quality Scientist and Eastern Canada Practice Lead, Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure
Steve has more than 30 years experience in air quality management and has worked with mining, industrial, government, and oil & gas sector clients both across Canada and internationally to determine emissions; prepare and execute sampling programs; conduct transport and dispersion modelling; assess community impact; develop abatement and airshed monitoring strategies; and prepare permit documentation.
He has prepared greenhouse gas inventories for industry, resource sector and municipal clients and has worked with companies in preparing emissions trading protocol documentation for Cap-and-Trade programs. Since 2002 he has provided more than 100 professional development seminars in the areas of environmental regulation and air quality management at venues across Canada.
