Energy Efficiency Jobs in Canada

The Energy Efficiency sector in Canada is offering job opportunities in diverse industries. In this year alone, 36,000 new jobs were created.

Energy Efficiency is a major component of the global movement to combat climate change. At the same time, this sector is key to transitioning Canada to a low-carbon economy.

ECO Canada surveyed energy efficiency firms and found they were optimistic about the future of their net revenues through 2019. As a result, direct employment is expected to grow by 8.3% this year, creating jobs within six key industries:

  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Whole Sale Trade
  • Professional and Business Services
  • Utilities
  • Other Services
