Establish your virtual presence to build meaningful relationships and communicate effectively

Environmental professionals can communicate in countless ways, making it possible for business to be conducted almost anywhere. This course is an opportunity to leverage this new and ever changing reality to establish a virtual presence with impact.

This course will run in four live virtual sessions, over a period of two weeks. The sessions will explore communications strategies to develop presence, communication, connection, and culture in a virtual setting. Enrollment will include personalized coaching and development with the facilitator and in small-groups take-aways.

  • Introductions and overview of course outcomes and goals

  • Compare and identify effective presentation skills

Session 3: Connection – Building Virtual Relationships

Tuesday June 22, 11:00 – 12:30 PM MST

  • Examine methods to build high-level trust relationships
  • Identify four quadrants of relationship and create virtual partnership
  • Discuss possibilities for practicing empathy, listening, and engagement

Session 2: Communication – Running Effective and Interactive Virtual Meetings

Thursday June 17, 11:00 – 12:30 PM MST

  • Examine strategies to run efficient and consistent meetings
  • Practice tactics and skills to keep attendees engaged
  • Discuss approaches and accountability in virtual meetings

Session 4: Culture – Creating a Virtual Culture

Thursday June 24, 11:00 – 12:30 PM MST

  • Reflect on key culture components and how to assess their impact
  • Identify how to create a process for integrating culture
  • Discuss how to link this internally and externally in a virtual setting

What’s the deadline to enroll?

Registration will be open until Sunday June 14 or until max capacity for session is reached.  Once you pay for enrollment, you will be e-mailed a registration form for the course.

What is the course format?

This course will be held in live, virtual sessions. The sessions will be interactive and meaningful, with group discussions, breakout activities, and more. Registration will also include personalized feedback, coaching, and group work.

How will I be recognized once I’ve completed the course?

You’ll receive a formal Certificate of Completion once you’ve completed all of the required course topics. This course also counts towards professional development credits for EP Certification.

What technology do I need to participate?

All of your learning materials are included, so you don’t need to buy anything extra.

How long does this course take?

There will be four, 90-minute sessions. The course will run from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM MST on June 15, June 17, June 22, and June 24.
