This assessment is a metric to measure knowledge and skills gain upon completion of the Essential Skills Certificate Program. Your score has no affect on your progress in or completion of the program. A tailored learning plan will be developed specific to your essential skills aptitude.

  1. Professional Communications

Most people aren’t born masters of communication. Rather, communication skills can take years of trial and error to develop. In any consulting business, success is built on effective communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. This course gives you the opportunity to build your communication skills quickly by providing techniques to overcome typical communication barriers, adopt effective body language, deliver engaging presentations, resolve conflict, and more.

When you write, you must first collect data and ideas and put them together in a report or other document that is comprehensive and easy for your readers to understand. This course is intended to help you develop your ability to write efficiently and with confidence. Good project managers apply organizational, communication, and leadership skills every day. This course gives you the opportunity to learn about the skills, knowledge areas, and attitudes that are most important to project management. You will also learn how to balance the triple constraints of scope, time, and cost. This course also provides an overview of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) while using environmental project examples and scenarios.

  3. Project Management Fundamentals
  4. Integration, Scope, Time, and Cost Management

This assessment is a metric to measure knowledge and skills gain upon completion of the Essential Skills Certificate Program. Your score has no affect on your progress in or completion of the program.

What’s the deadline to enrol?

There are no set enrolment dates, so you can start this on-demand training program at any time. Once you’ve purchased the program, you’ll have six months of full program access.

What is the delivery format?

This is an online, self-directed training program. Each individual course allows you to learn practical skills through expert videos, real-life scenarios, workbooks and more.

What if I have questions during the course or encounter issues trying to complete a course?

If you have any questions while moving through the courses, you can send them to training@eco.ca and someone will get back to you within 2-3 business days.

How will I be recognized once I’ve completed the certificate (all five courses and assessments)?

You’ll receive a formal Certificate of Completion upon completing all of the required courses and evaluations. This certificate also counts towards professional development credits for EP Certification.

Do I need to buy separate course materials (e.g. textbooks, guides, etc.)?

All of your learning materials are included, so you don’t need to buy anything extra.

How long will it take me to complete the certificate?

Depending on the learner, each course can take up to five hours to complete, therefore the entire certificate will take up to 15 hours total.

I have a membership with ECO Canada, where do I find my online course discount code?
