Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), a leader in Canadian habitat conservation, is looking for a confident, energetic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Engineering Technologist.
As an Eng Tech and member of the Manitoba Habitat Asset Management Team (HAM), you will be responsible for:
assisting the HAM team to manage water levels on DUC Wetland Projects within the Saskatchewan River Delta
providing design input into structural concepts of water control works
supporting and working with Regional Engineering staff to perform maintenance or replacement of water control works.
leading local survey data collection and compilation as required.
Our ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure positive interaction with various stakeholders, including landowners, contractors, NGOs and government. Proven program planning and implementation skills will also be required to succeed in this position.
You are self-motivated, enjoy a complex, changing environment and can manage numerous projects on tight deadlines. Your expertise and knowledge in project planning and execution, financial and contract management and contractor/construction supervision will make you the ideal candidate for this very diverse and challenging position.
