Job Description

ERM is seeking a motivated Environmental Equipment/Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Vancouver, BC. We are seeking an organized, experienced, dynamic individual. In this role, you will support various field programs, manage ERM’s equipment, and provide operational support to the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Order, coordinate shipping and track the movement of field equipment across Canada.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition and keeping accurate records of maintenance and calibrations.
  • Manage cost recovery of field equipment.
  • Conduct equipment inventories in Vancouver and coordinate inventories in other offices.
  • Safely store and ship hazardous materials (e.g., preservatives, batteries).
  • Manage Courier, evaluate, and develop market knowledge as it relates to performance, safety and rate negotiations.
  • Responsible for providing administrative support as needed, including covering reception for breaks/vacation days, filing of financial documents, and health and safety.
  • Support operational tasks such as chairing meetings, action list management, office furniture set-up/take-down, coordination and execution of office moves and miscellaneous tasks around the Vancouver office.
  • 5+ years’ experience in logistical management.
  • Experience with field equipment for environmental surveys/sampling (e.g., fish, water quality, hydrology, wildlife, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline driven environment.
  • Good knowledge of geography and proven math skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, multi-task and set priorities while working independently in a high performance team culture.
  • Proven communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
