Job Description

The Laboratory and research Manager is responsible for developing and managing the company’s diagnostic and chemical services, and helping drive company-wide growth by working on research and development, with a focus on SRED eligibility.

KEY ATTRIBUTES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience working in a lab, including lab set up and management experience
• Strong attention to detail and able to prepare quality documentation
• Knowledge and experience of IEEE standards
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to identify and solve problems, and develop the company through research and development

RESPONSIBILITES

• Install and initiate the laboratory equipment to ensure efficient operations
• Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments
• Receive or collect, as well as process, samples
• Calculate test results, and log and report results in a systematic manner
• Prepare and supervise experiments
• Perform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessary
• Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area
• Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge and experience of IEEE standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to take initiative
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, ERP and CRM systems
