Job Description

The successful candidate will support the Manager of Professional Services ensuring continuous success for all administrative and program delivery activities, while optimizing operations of the program. In addition, this candidate will also be responsible for providing active support to other ongoing projects and programs in the Professional Services team.

While each member of ECO Canada has individual responsibilities, ECO takes a team-based approach. Everyone is encouraged to take ownership of his/her ideas and to see them through to completion, collaborating with key influencers as required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Updating existing templates, procedural documents and client-facing reports;
  • Assisting in development, implementation and monitoring of assigned environmental programs, program elements or projects;
  • Supporting ECO Canada’s professional development and indigenous training (BEAHR) programs;
  • Performing technical and administrative duties in the implementation of program activities;
  • Supporting the research, writing, editing, formatting and proofreading of technical materials for technical reports, proposals and concept papers;
  • Provide active support to other projects and programs run by the Professional Services Team;
  • Other project participation support  may be required such as attending networking events, proposal quality assurance, developing webinar presentations, etc.
  • Currently enrolled in Post-Secondary Environmental Science program or similar
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Office, particularly with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated success in writing proposals and managing projects;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills;
  • Abreast with the latest environment and sustainability topics;
  • Fluency in a second language will be an asset.


This role is a temporary contract position until March 31, 2021, with a three-month probationary period upon start date.
