Job Description

We currently have an opening for a Contaminated Sites Project Manager in our Vernon, Whitehorse or Yellowknife offices. This position is important to our strategic goals, so you will have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to our organization and develop in your career.

Our ideal candidate has experience with contaminated sites and project management in the North. You enjoy building teams, tackling interesting projects, and demonstrate an aptitude for consulting. You will assist in growing our contaminated sites assessment and remediation practice, and will work both independently and with other scientists on a wide variety of field and office assignments.

Responsibilities include the following:

•Managing projects.
•Designing and implementing simple to complex contaminated site investigations and remediation projects.
•Mentoring technical staff on project delivery.
•Contributing to business development.

What you will bring to the table:

• Undergraduate degree in environmental science, hydrology, physical geography, earth science, chemistry, water resources, or applied technical diploma in equivalent areas of practice.
• 8+ years of post-graduation consulting experience with contaminated sites science and project management.
• Ability to plan logistics, (e.g., scheduling multiple team members, working in remote communities, coordinating sample collection and lab schedules).
• Knowledge of the contaminated sites regulatory environment in Yukon, Northwest Territories and/or Nunavut.
